There are three things you need in order to get your business on the web.

First, you need a "domain name." A domain name is something like yourbusiness.com. A domain name is registered at and managed by a third-party company called a "registrar." There are dozens of registrars out there today, but GoDaddy.com seems to have the best prices at the moment (~$10/year).

Once you have registered your domain name, you need a web hosting company.
